I haven't decided yet about the pattern, but I have bought the colors for the new blanket- I think it's going to be pretty!

Blue Diagonal Baby Blanket Complete

I am now done with the blue diagonal blue knit baby blanket... I really like it but it is bigger than I thought it would be- I'm not the greatest at gauge; but at least it will grow with the baby and not be outgrown!

Dinner

Dinner was so yummy tonight I just had to post it! Prosciutto wrapped asparagus with feta, pan fried ham with pineapple glaze, tomato, cheese, and onion tart. YUMMMMMMM!

Crochet, Knit, and All Things Yarn!

The past few days I have been doing nothing but yarn work almost constantly. Every day I wake up and start - I can't seem to get it out of my mind and my fingers feel strange when they are not crocheting and knitting. It has been so long since I have crocheted and forgot it really is fun- and fast- I have almost two blankets already done in a week compared to the months I've been working on one knitted blanket!
Anyway, I was reading some other peoples blogs about yarn work and realized that I love to see people (like me) take it everywhere they go! It's like an addiction and then the gratification of having a completed project. There is something so exciting about having made something yourself!

First Stitch Markers

Last night, while I was sleeping, I was dreaming of beads. So, first thing I did when I got home today was to make these stitch markers....

Tissue Knitting

I finished the cover... It's really cute; I like it.

Knitted Tissue Cover

So, last night I found a pattern I really wanted to try. I have never followed a pattern so I'm excited. The project should end up as a tissue cover and I think it looks pretty cute.

Drawings

Today, I drew two new drawings as get well cards for people at school. The first one (the cartoons) was my idea and the other one was done by request. On the inside of each we have had the kids all sign and write notes.

Spring Day

Today was such a wonderful weekend day. We got up went to the farmers market where we bought some purple tomatoes, yellow peppers, and strawberries to plant in the garden. Then we came home and I fell asleep on the couch watching TV. In the afternoon we leisurely went out for groceries. After bringing them home and putting them away we were off again to go to Hobby Lobby for yarn. We spent way too much money on more yarn for the stashes. And then to Greener Groundz for dinner. It was a really great day!!

Blue Blanket

I just completed my first blanket. It was done almost completely at the HotRods games. I'm pretty excited about it. I think it is the quickest thing I've ever knitted.

Yarn Sale

Yesterday, Paige and I went to peruse around Hobby Lobby. While there we found a huge sale of yarn. It was so exciting and hard to make decisions. There was a whole row of yarn marked down to $2. Yes, I know not hard to make me happy. I can't wait to start my new project.

Solemate Mismatched Socks

Solemate mismatched socks; I love them-- they are so cute I would love to knit a pair!!! They are sold at Enchanted yarn.

Photo Class

Well, we decided that it would be fun to take a short class through our community ed. We choose photography. It was kind of fun, but at times annoying. I felt more like it was photo editing than taking. I don't know what I expected and I think I probably would take another class. It was a fun diversion.

Knitting Looms

I'm kind of digging on the thought of these looms. I have some and have used them before but I recently watched a show on them (Kitty Gritty). They made some super cool things and I almost want to dig them out to try it out.

Hang Drum

In an attempt to fill my life with entertainment since the void the of lack of grad school has created; Paige and I have considered joining a local Drum Circle. "Do you drum?" you may be asking. Sadly, the answer is no, but we attended a show of the local circle and felt greatly inspired. So now we are on the search for a drum... which led me to the Hang drum, which I can't afford, and you can't even get unless you go to Switzerland. But still, I am in awe.. . I really like them.

Monkey Math

I finished... now he needs a name!!!!

I am almost finished with a game that I am making. I still need to compete all of the bananas and laminate the monkey, arms, and hands. I'm pretty excited and think he is pretty cute!!!!
