I am reading all these articles about reducing plastic use and why we should try to reduce our plastic use (see photo). The only question I have is how is this even possible. Almost everything I buy has plastic on or in it. I mean, EVERYTHING. I'm unclear how
Fake Plastic Fish,
Envirowoman and others do it. Where do they get shampoo? Do they use ketchup? Mayo? Do they eat out? Do they eat meat?

How do we do it? Here's a start:

Shampoo is easy: there are shampoo bars that are solid, and there's also the baking soda option.
But also, remember that none of us has it all figured out. I'm still using up a plastic bottle of ketchup from before I ever started this project. (Shows how much ketchup I eat.) Once it's gone, I'll probably switch to an organic brand I found that comes in a glass bottle. But still, it has a plastic seal around the neck.
I wrote a post once on tips for reducing plastic while shopping in conventional grocery stores. Not everyone has access to the resources that I do in the Bay Area:

Start with the easiest things like giving up bottled water and plastic grocery bags and go from there!
Night night.
